The Music Scene Is Jay’s Element
Jay always had a thing for music. Whether or not to make it big in the scene wasn’t really the question but being a natural performer he has a real passion for creating music, even his career took eventually another path:
After graduating in the field of music & live entertainment, Jay landed a job as A&R representative. Identifying and managing new artists, helping them get their music out into the world. Especially niche artists are his specialization and he often finds himself as the mediator and gateway to connect them with labels and other industry professionals.
As he began to make a name for himself, he started to network with other musicians, and it wasn’t long before he was rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the business. He was thrilled when he got the chance to meet Beyonce or Adele, two of his all-time favorites. “I am grateful for the opportunities I had been given so far in the industry, and I am determined to continue making a positive impact to other artist and the scene in general.”
In 2022, as live shows and concerts returned to normal, Jay was thrilled to see overseas artists returning to the UK, particularly London, where he is located, personally attending festivals and shows, unleashing his true potential.
In his free time, Jay enjoys photography and still makes a bit of music on the side.
“I am a social person, enjoys photography and still make a bit of music on the side, when time allows. I am quite experienced in these fields now but you are never too old to expand your knowledge so I am eager to get better and improve my skills.”
As a people person, networking comes easy to Jay, and he uses his outgoing personality and charm to his advantage.
“While I receive a lot of messages, I have not met my soulmate yet. I am bisexual and usually – believe it or not – let the other person taking the lead in the relationship. When a match is creative, be it in messages, dates or how they live their life, that really attracts me. I am an active person and I want my partner to be proactive in the relationship as well – even more than I am.
My advice: Embracing creativity as part of your personality. You will reach sides or aspects of life that were locked before. It’s a really fulfilling experience.”
Jay’s idea of settling?
Serious dating, yes, eventually, but I need to make sure there is a strong common foundation before I can commit to anything long-term. My ideal match is experienced, able to tell me something new that I don’t know, a patient and caring personality, someone I can continue to grow with.”
